I want to change a note in a staff members profile, however I can't seem to edit it and only have the option to delete.The simple
rule is you can't edit someone else's note. However Advisor
or Coordinator can delete it. So if you need to change someone
else's note, you can copy it into a new note, save your new note
with your changes, then delete their old note if necessary.
The rationale behind this is that PeopleSafe records who created a Note and time-stamps it. If you were to edit this Note, the Creator and the time-stamp no longer hold any significance, as it would not be distinguishable as to what the Creator said vs what you changed it to. So to ensure integrity of what is recorded, but give you some control in the event of a Note being added that is not appropriate, we provide the Delete function only.
